Imagine a loved one having a stroke in rural Missouri. Your loved one phones 911 for assistance and is quickly taken to a very small local hospital. Now, imagine your loved one being given immediate remote access to a stroke specialist from Springfield with the expertise to quickly assess the patient’s situation and make life-saving recommendations through the advanced telemedicine system that links all Mercy facilities.

Mercy’s Virtual Center has the best technological virtual medical capability available today. Edward’s presentation will take a look at the center itself, as well as the many innovative programs that are part of it.  He’ll also discuss the employment opportunities and skill sets required to be a part of the virtual care team.
