We need computer programmers, and we're going to meet and talk to people who are doing something about it. These programs and individuals are doing their part to fill the area's talent pipeline with skilled computer programmers--now, and in the future.
MATA is proud to engage the following passionate experts on the subject and the actions they are taking to bring us skilled workers:
Kathryn Golden is with LaunchCode, a St. Louis-based non-profit organization that pairs people aiming to work in technology with top-level employers through paid apprenticeships and job placement and is looking to debut in Springfield this fall.
Stephanie Phillips and Michelle White are Ozark Public School System teachers who have created and introduced computer programming curriculum to elementary students with rave success.
Maranda Reynolds and Krista Peryer just raised a over $5,000 for their startup, The Geek Foundation, to teach computer programming to anyone interested in learning. Hear what their plans are for the future.
Computer Information Science (CIS) instructors from several of our educational institutions will also be on hand to share how they are working to graduate students with the programming skills our businesses need to be successful. All we now need is you to share your ideas so make plans to attend. RSVP below.
AND A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR MATA SPONSORS!!
